John Hoty's biography is as storied as the writing it's produced. Having worked as a writer for American Greetings' online audio comic strip "Celebrity Science Fiction Theater" in Cleveland, Ohio back in 1999 to his years as a bartender, liquor sales rep, and marketing copywriter in St. Pete Beach, Florida, his various life experiences and reflected wisdom are evident across all channels of his written work.

Renown for the impressive versatility of his writing, Hoty's creative style is hallmarked by his wit, unique characterizations, and the sheer athleticism of his prose. He often blends humor and pathos when writing screenplays and short fiction, and yet his poetry, blog, and featured monologues are layered deep within the wounds of his living history. Regardless of the platform, the vision and voice of Hoty's writing linger with a depth and vulnerability that transcends genre.

Currently living in Broadview Heights, Ohio and working as a high school English teacher and wine consultant (teaching teens and adults), John Hoty continues to feed his most innate passion -- that of exploring universal themes across a vast scope of written words.
